What do you get when you combine a crushing metal riff, a Locrian Natural 6 scale, the madness of the TV series “Legion” and the twisted minds of Project: Xanadu? Well, the title could be “Trust Is Like An Egg”.
Music
The pre-chorus & chorus are two of the most heavy riffs we’ve ever done! The intro and the middle part are definitely the most prog, while the verses are very Xanadu to me. The whole thing started with the weird melodic theme in the chorus, which uses the, often overlooked Locrian Natural 6 scale.
The instrumental break is such a natural progression from the piano intro that it practically wrote itself. It took me considerably longer to record it properly.
